Adding Call to Action to your scenes

Call to actions allow you to link attachments, additional content (such as youtube or wikipedia pages) or encourage users to swipe to a different story covering the topic. 

Follow these steps to add add a link or call to action to your scenes:

Step 1: Go to the scene where you wish to add the link

Step 2: Click the Call to Action icon at the bottom of the scene

Step 3: Select one of the following options:


Open URL:
This CTA will open the URL address of your landing page in a new browser tab.
Show Attachment:
Opens an URL Address without leaving the story. Useful for story within story narrative techniques or for lead collecting scenes.
Email To:
Similar functionality with the "mailto:" protocol. Taping this button activates the default mail client on the computer/phone for sending an email to the email address defined in the "email address" field
Phone Call:
More commonly known as "click to call" have the same functionality with the "tel:" protocol. On devices with phone capabilities, make it easy for users to directly connect with the story author by simply tapping the phone number.
Jump to scene:
Allows your readers to jump faster to important scenes in your story.


Step 4: Select one of the pre-defined options or type in your own
Step 5: Add the link that you want people to navigate to on swipe up
Step 6: Optionally, you can customise the following elements:

  • the shape of the button (radius)

  • text and background colour

  • border style, width and colour

  • add image / icon
